Join the brigade

The Sonic The Hedgehog and Mega Man is well on it's way with part 4 that came out this week. Mega Man #25 also marks the end of the first act of the 12 part story. The first 4 parts can be easily found in comic shop, book store, or online applications with 8 more issue on the way. After the story line is complete all issue will be available in trade paperback. I'm taking the pledge and spreading the word too.

I, webfox100, do solemnly swear, to spread the word of the Sonic/Mega Man crossover, until everyone in the entire world knows of the awesomeness that is "Worlds Collide," or until Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily take over the world with their dastardly schemes and outlaw reading.

update 5/10/13

Free Comic Book Day had left me in pain all over my body and exhausted all of my energy for the following 2 days. The day after the pains had faded and energy had some what returned but I found myself well in to a cold I picked up from one of the comic shops. It has now been nearly a week since FCBD and my mind is well again with my body a day or 2 behind it. With all of that out of the way I will be doing a top 9 list of comics from FCBD along with some Fit To Reads and maybe some other videos/blog posts too.

A MEGA week

Mega Man #25 - ARCHIE COMICS

Trade paperbacks are still months away but you can easily find issues of the story in comic shops or just get all 4 at once on a digital app for smart phones, tablets, or PC. Follow the check list and spread the word to be apart of the

Free comic countdown #1

1 - SONIC THE HEDGEHOG MEGA MAN FLIPBOOK

2 - WALKING DEAD SPECIAL

3 - KABOOM SUMMER BLAST

4 - DC NATION SUPER SAMPLER #1

5 - ATOMIC ROBO & FRIENDS

6 - DH STAR WARS CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT AVATAR

7 - DRAGON BALL & RUROUNI KENSHIN RESTORATION

Of course it's a Sonic comic that would be my number 1. Sonic The Hedgehog is my favorite thing. Every month I look forward to the 2 different Sonic comics and when Free Comic Book Day comes I drool over the limit free issue. Like every year this issue is special but in a different way from the others.

This year Sonic's comic it a flip book with Mega Man. This is Mega Man's second year at Free Comic Book Day, last year was a reprint of the first issue. I love Sonic in many forms but Mega Man not so much. I played some Mega Man/X/Legends games and it's Legends that I liked the most. Classic MM games are too hard for me and X has a story I don't fully understand. MM had a few cartoons but the first one that was showed in the USA was very good. MM had many comics and manga but it's the Archie series that has a story that sticks to the game's stories while giving the characters, settings, and other factors more life. The art looks amazing as you look at it you can see the comic would look great as a 2D HD update of the games. The comic has been printing for 2 years now by the same artist and writers of the Sonic The Hedgehog comic.

Sonic The Hedgehog has had his comic printing in USA for 20 years now. The longest running comic based on a video game with more than 1 other side Sonic series being printed at the same time. It's the STH comics got made me in to a Sonic fan. This is STH's seventh year being in Free Comic Book Day and like past years the topic of the free issue is involved with the STH story line.

This year is the first time crossover of Sonic & Mega Man in any form. As I type this part 3 of the 12 part story is now on stands for pick up. This flip book is called a part 0 for the crossover. From what is shown in the preview pages this issue reprints parts of the STH & MM issues right before the crossover. This makes since to me but like always I hoped there was more. Maybe there could be in it. Fans who've been following the stories of the 2 comic won't need this issue and I don't think it will help new fan to get in to the stories. Being a STH comic with a bonus MM story I am getting this one for sure. I hope that there's more than just reprints in it.

Happy Free Comic Book Day everyone!

Free comic countdown #2

2 - WALKING DEAD SPECIAL

3 - KABOOM SUMMER BLAST

4 - DC NATION SUPER SAMPLER #1

5 - ATOMIC ROBO & FRIENDS

6 - DH STAR WARS CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT AVATAR

7 - DRAGON BALL & RUROUNI KENSHIN RESTORATION

The Walking Dead is a great comic and TV show. Some of the games are good too. So having it being close to the top was a good bet.

In this special are 4 short stories from all points of the Walking Dead comics timeline. 1 of the stories was a bonus in a collection book and 2 others where tacked on the front reprints of the issues where the the featured characters were introduced. The last story is going to be an original. I have 1 of the stories but the other 2 that came out are still over priced for what they offer.

This is a pick up for Walking Dead fans of the show or comic and it could be a good jumping on point for any new fans. The price is right and I will grab a few for myself since NONE of these stories will be reprinted in the future trade paperbacks.

4 - DC NATION SUPER SAMPLER #1

5 - ATOMIC ROBO & FRIENDS

6 - DH STAR WARS CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT AVATAR

7 - DRAGON BALL & RUROUNI KENSHIN RESTORATION

This issue is going to be a mixed bag for me because some of the stories in it are of from TV shows that I love and others are from things I don't care about.
Adventure Time is my favorite show on TV now but the story for it is a reprint or part of the first issue.
Regular Show is another favorite of mine and I would like to see how a show that works so well on TV works out in a comic form.
Bravest Warriors is a web show from the same man who made Adventure Time. I haven't seen the show or read the comics yet but if the writing is as good as AT to match it's art it will be tied for my favorite show.
Fiona and Cake is a fan-fic in AT. As cool their stories are until it's more than fan-fic in the show/comic I will only like this story.
I don't care about Ice Age, Peanuts, and Gargield comic books so that's just filler to me.
There are some other things in here but I won't know what they are until I get the issue.

I am Bad Man

I saw Iron Man 3 on Monday. With it coming out for everyone to see on Friday Escapist Magazine put a quiz to see which Iron Man villain you are.

Iron Monger

We're iron mongers, we make weapons.

Take this quiz

"There has never been a villain more successful at destroying Tony Stark like Iron Monger was."

Number 4 is a double hit of new DC super hero stories I can't wait to see on TV soon. As I type this I've seen the first episode of Teen Titans Go! on TV and I really like it and then some. If the show does get it's own comic run then I may have to pick it up as well. Teen Titans only take half of the issue as you can see on the cover there is a Batman story in here too.

Beware The Batman is the new Batman cartoon that's coming to TV. All things Batman on TV have been good to the best thing ever so a lot of eyes will be judging the new show for sure. As for this comic it's a preview of what's to come in the show. If the show is going to be as great as the past ones let's hope some of the good parts get rubbed off on the comic.

I pick this for the Titans mainly but a sneak peek of a new Batman adds some meat for fans new and old to chew on in this freebie.
