Sonic review

Here's a one sentence review of Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon I wrote for a post on the ConTV Facebook page.

With crazy stories and crazier art, this Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon may not be one of the best but it still has the heart of the Sega mascot while being very Looney Tunes like.

This is no Gundam, kid. It's not even a Zaku.

 Aldnoah.Zero review

Just finished Aldnoah.zero. Feeling major let downs. The first 12 episodes only took me about 2 days to watch. The other 12 took about 7 months. Shows how I felt about it. I kept hearing that is was as close to Gundam that wasn't Gundam. It got close at some points but it sure wasn't a Gundam type anime in the end.

1 The main characters were bland

2 the world this anime took place in was some thing I wanted to explore but it didn't show off any of it besides the broken moon that just looked the same every time it was shown

3 technology was explained some to make it almost believable at first but then just hand waves away all the impossible things it does later in the series

4 besides a few Earth mechas in the beginning no mecha was shown off to it's full existent and each fight was a monster of the week instead of showing advances in tactics and technology

5 lots of side characters had lives of their own and could have been like able but most to all side stories they had were left half finished or just untouched

6 little talking robot eye buddy really!!!!!??????

7 Inaho is the biggest Gary Stu EVER! No one could do anything without his okay and hand holding

8 good guys in any Gundam lost from time to time but the "good guys" here just keep pulling out win after win from start to end

This show wanted to be an opera but it didn't have character and the drama to go with it.

The animation was nice but this is one anime I will not speak fondly of.

What anime would I make?

91.8 The Fan Facebook page asked what type of anime would I make? I commented:

I would do a sci-fi action/comedy like Outlaw Star but more of a harem. Alien babes everywhere! I can't trust myself to do Gundam justice.
I had this idea in my head since I started watching Gate on Crunchyroll.

How well I know Gotham?

I took a quiz on the DC comics website to see how well I know Gotham city to join the  GCPD.

I got:

Your Rank: Detective

You know Gotham City pretty well, and if you spend time working some cases you’ll become an expert in no time.
Give it a try at the DC comics website.

My powers could be...

For a contest Sideshow Collectables on Facebook asks:

Radioactive spider bite = Spider-Man!
What bit you and what kind of hero or villain did you become?

I commented:

A lizard, giving me a layer of skin that can absorb radiation, block fire, slows down bullets, and stops some knife attacks. I have to keep shedding my skin about once a week but even the peeled off skin still holds some of it's strength for science use.

Free movies

Here is a list of websites to get passes for early screenings of upcoming movies before they are released nation wide. These websites are most or all for United States of America screenings and you have to sign up for them all.

Gofobo

Sending pass for movies of all types mainly for up to 2 guests, sometimes 4 for kids movies. More movies you go to the more movie passes you should get. You can get flooded with passes for the same movie but for different times and places to watch it. Many time I get dry spells of no passes at all for 2-4 months.

Sony Screenings

Like Gofobo in the pass guest count and how often passes are sent but only shows SONY movies.

Regal Entertainment Group

Regal may send out a free pass in their newsletters. I forget if you have to also have to be a member to their free members club too. I got one pass from them so far and the passes will be for a screening in a Regal theater.

The Film Yap

The Film Yap is a local movie reviewer/lover website. Many times they will post on their website, newsletter, and/or FaceBook page of mini contests to win passes to an early screening.

Nuvo

The free weekly Indianapolis paper has many contests on their website. Many of which are for passes to early screenings.

Local comic shops

Local comic shop tend to get passes to comic/sci-fi movies. Some will just hand them out, other times you'll have to call in before hand, you may have to buy something some of the other times, and there is even a chance they will have a contest for the passes with other goodies. Be sure to check their websites/Facebook pages/newsletters for updates and don't be afraid to ask.

Lionsgate

Just like the SONY screenings but with Lionsgate films.

Warner Bros. Screenings

Just like SONY and Lionsgate but with WB films.

I think there was a Paramount screening site too but I can't find it.

Get Screening

This site I haven't used just yet but I hear it's like a blanket site that sends you passes from most of the other sites I talked about above.

I got Tails

On the Sonic The Hedgehog FaceBook page there is a Which character are you? from Sonic Boom quiz. I'm Tails according to it.

Miles "Tails" Prower

You are Tails! You're the creative one in your group of friends. You have big dreams, a big imagination, and people can rely on you. You are the one that is always planning ahead and tinkering to improve things. You can be shy at times, but your friends help to push you out of your comfort zone.

My thought on the iZombie premiere

Why I love the Flash on the CW

I know why I love The Flash TV show on the CW.
It is a comic book turned in to a live action series.

By not being afraid of the comic it's based on it has villains that can turn in to smoke, ice&fire guns that people can carry with one hand, proof of time travel, two people becoming one then back to two again, and to see a psychic gorilla walk on his legs down a hall then to harm a man he don't like at all. Character have the outfit, names, and powers from the comics.

Arrow is following the close to real life and dark like the Dark Knight trilogy, Gotham is gritty and dirty with no joy like a cop show on FX or Spike.
Flash has people who are fun, cheerful, colorful, and happy. There are plenty of times we see the show take place in the day as well night. The Flash helps the people even with the smallest of things and the police with any problem they may have.

He is the hero that comics have forgotten and movies won't show.

MANGA MONDAY Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire Vol. 1

For the first MANGA MONDAY!!! I go over the first in the Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire series. Great art work, a gripping mystery, and of course zombies. I may cut out the SPOILERS!!! part in the future and most of the manga I got over will be random and last minute.
